Carrier requirements

What we verify before we tender you a load. We check every one of these on every carrier, every time, not once a year.

Minimum requirements
Operating authorityActive and in the carrier's own name, verified on the FMCSA record
Certificate holderASE North LLC named on the certificate
Safety ratingNot Unsatisfactory, and no active out of service order
W-9Current, matching the name on the authority
Signed agreementOur carrier agreement, signed before the first load

Why we check every time

Authority gets revoked and insurance lapses between loads, not on an annual schedule. A carrier who was compliant last month may not be today. Re-checking at tender is the only version of this that actually protects anyone.

Double brokering

We do not accept re-brokered freight and we do not tender loads to carriers who re-broker ours. If a load we have given you ends up on someone else's truck, the relationship ends there. This is the single fastest way freight goes missing.

Identity checks

Carrier identity fraud is the biggest problem in this industry right now. Expect us to call you back on the number listed on your FMCSA record rather than the one in your email signature. It is not distrust, it is procedure, and we would want you to do the same to us.
