Why a broker covers more ground than a fleet
Our own trucks have a range and a home base like anyone's. Our broker authority does not. When a lane sits outside what our equipment sensibly covers, we place it with a carrier who is already running there, which is how a Miami company puts freight on the road between Seattle and Denver without pretending to have a terminal in either.
What nationwide does not mean
It does not mean every lane prices the same, and it does not mean every lane is equally easy on every day. Direction, season and notice all move the number, and there are weeks when a particular corridor is genuinely tight. We would rather tell you that when you ask than after you have planned around a truck that was never going to be there.
